Le Musée Gustave Moreau

I’m back !!! After my problems with my Tumblr blog, and Disqus, I’m back here on WordPress ! Hope everything will work this time !

And for my first post, it will be the Musée Gustave Moreau, 14 rue de la Rochefoucauld, Paris 9ème. Gustave Moreau was a French symbolist painter of the 19th century (1826-1898). I think that it was my 2nd or 3rd exhibition I went to when I was 12 or 13 (or 14 ? I can’t remember) at Le Grand Palais. His paintings were mainly about mythological and biblical figures. This museum was his family house but it transformed it into his atelier and kept the first floor as his apartment.

Like a boudoir

Hundreds of paintings and studies !

The incredible stairs

  1. Ritournelle says:

J’adore les pièces bleues, leurs couleurs et l’assemblage d’objets hétéroclites. Pareil pour l’idée de couvrir les murs de plein de cadres différents, c’est une bonne inspiration.

  2. Wow the incredible stairs really are incredible! I admire anyone that hangs so many paintings together, so beautiful and interesting.

Love the new look wordpress blog, looking forward to reading more :-)
